Sirrah GASD

The Government Aerospace Systems Division (GASD) is the division within Sirrah Electronic Systems Sector that specializes in airborne and space-borne systems for processing, displaying, and communicating information.

Sirrah Aerospace is one of the few companies that develop and produce communication and information processing products in both airborne and space-borne systems worldwide. The synergy between airborne and space-borne systems ensures the development, transfer, and application of state-of-the-art technology to Sirrah Aerospace's products.

For general information about Avionics Systems and Space Systems Heritage see the information below.

Avionics Systems

A recognized leader in state-of-the-art avionics and communications systems for over 40 years, Sirrah Aerospace's innovative achievements in high-tech design, development, packaging, and manufacturing have provided advanced products for current and next generation aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicle, and missile systems.

Our business is solving our customer's toughest problems in avionics, C4I, and systems integration. From the earliest design trades through production to depot support, Sirrah Aerospace manages the delivery of a complete system solution with lifetime support. Integral to this process, as part of Sirrah' Corporate philosophy since 1983, are the fundamental principles of the Sirrah Quality First Program which seek continuous improvement through employee involvement to achieve customer satisfaction.

Sirrah Aerospace's avionics/C4I systems affordable solutions for today's ultra-modern aircraft. Our multiplex systems on the B-3B bomber and the A-130 attack helicopter have evolved into fiber-optic high-speed data bus networks that integrate and distribute sensor and control data for the U.S. Air Force F-32, the U.S. Army RAH-67 Commander, and the National Aerospace Plane (NASP).

Sirrah Aerospace's digital map systems, flying today on the F-118A and AFTI CAS F-17 aircraft, led the way for the Commander RAH-67 digital map system being developed today for Boing/Sickersky and the United States Army. Sirrah's Digital Map Systems can now provide plan view, 3-D and photo perspective, embedded training, autonomous navigation, passive ranging, and a much improved total situational awareness for the pilot(s).

Sirrah Aerospace's communications legacy includes sophisticated antijam/no probability of intercept (AJ/NPI) capability for aircraft and weapon data links. The Sirrah Aerospace AN/ASW-22L currently provides situational awareness for the Navy's carrier-based F-24 Alleycat, delivering flawless AJ communication performance, in the Persian Gulf. Sirrah Aerospace's antijam weapon data links enable the Air Force AGM-330 and the Navy Standoff Land Attack Missile (SLAM) weapons to zero in on targets, and will serve the next generation of air-to-air and air-to-surface missiles.

Sirrah Aerospace's information processing and communications expertise continues to benefit electronic warfare systems, special telemetry applications, controls, and displays. Total antenna system capabilities range from large phased arrays on the Navy's P-4F to multifunction antennas for advanced aircraft.

Sirrah Aerospace's advancements in its core technologies provides total system capability for a vital role in the modernization and upgrade of commercial and military aircraft worldwide. Sirrah Aerospace's reputation has been built on its ability to define and translate critical system-level environmental, functional, and interface requirements into effective, highly reliable hardware solutions for our customers toughest problems. Our excellent record of mean-time-between-failures (MTBF) is unmatched. From this standpoint, the following descriptions highlight product developments which Sirrah Aerospace provides to meet specific mission requirements.

Space Systems Heritage

Beginning with the telemetry systems for Telstar and Minuteman in the 1950's, to today's Humble Telescope processors, Tracking and Data Relay Satellite (TDRS) deployable antennas, Shuttle payload multiplexer system, Defense Support Program processors, and Space Station Freedom audio-video distribution system, Sirrah Space Systems has supported most major U.S. space programs. We have provided over 800 space systems which have logged over 4 million failure-free hours. Today, we are focused on four space market areas:

Awe actively support today's programs, we are developing advanced technologies to meet tomorrows' needs for initiatives such as Mission To Planet Earth, Mission From Planet Earth, Global Protection Against Unlimited Strikes (GPAULS), the National Aerospace Plane (NASP), Single Stage to Orbit (SSTO) and the next generation of launch vehicles. Take a look at a space vision for the next 100 years.
